Farewell Nebraska! Hello Utah!

WE'RE MOVING!
Brent recently got a job in Utah. We are so proud of him and all of his hard work! One of the ways that made us realize that we have made it to the big leagues is that they moved us! I don't mean they loaded us into a truck. I mean they packed EVERYTHING in our house and then loaded it into a truck! I sat on the couch and painted my nails. Can I just say, BEST MOVE EVER!?!?!
We were sad to say goodbye to Lincoln, Nebraska. The last four years have been great. Brent and I have grown together, our family has grown and we have realized that we can survive freezing temperatures (that part I will not miss!).
For the past 4 years, everytime that Brent and I have done a road trip out west, my father-in-law has wanted us to stop and eat at Ole's. He loves this place! If any of you know me, I don't stop on a road trip unless it is to get gas, get fast food or use the bathroom and it better be quick! So I promised that I would stop there when I moved out of the state! And I am always good for my word!
Here are some pictures to document that I went to Ole's!!

If you can't tell, Ole's likes to stuff dead animals. I will admit that I teared up a little when I saw some of the animals that were on the wall. They actually had a giraffe. Brent assured me that these animals were killed many many years ago and therefore not illegal, but I'm not sure that I feel better.... I will say that the people there were SOOOO nice. And the food was really good. Now I can check Ole's off of my bucket list.

It is now the best time of year... and that means it is football season!!! Here are two of the cutest Husker fans I have ever seen!!!

We are currently staying with my parents while the house we are buying closes.... so hopefully soon I will have pictures of our very own house!!!!

Crazy Cuteness!!!

I have the best husband! He is the cutest daddy. This is his favorite time of day.... story time. Keagan looooovvvveeeesssss it! And I am pretty sure that Makinsey is going to be the same!
Pretty little princess!
Keagan decided that sitting in the bin was super fun!
Should I be worried?!? haha! Keagan has discovered that he loves shoes!
That cheesy smile melts my heart!

crazy life!

Life has been VERY crazy lately, so I have been bad at blogging. Here are ALOT of pictures from the past couple of months....

Brent's siblings came to visit! We had a blast with them! Keagan and Makinsey love their aunts and uncle.
Aunt Alyce built a fort with Keagan. He was so excited.
The Rogers family.
Keagan always finds Uncle Tim's mustache so exciting!
KISSES!!!
Our good friends just moved far, far away! We had to go out to dinner one last time! We will miss you Weber family!
Recently, my cousin, Holly and her husband Ryan moved out to Nebraska for work. We were SOOOOO excited for them to be close! The irony of it all, is that Brent got a job and we were only in the same state for about 3 weeks... one day we will live close Holly!
We helped them move in and Nebraska had to give them a good welcome and down poured and thunder and lightening the ENTIRE time! Welcome to the crazy weather state!!!
Look at how soaked they are!
Who would have thought that putting Keagan in a box, in the corner with food, would entertain him for hours!
Holly looks like a natural hanging out with Makinsey....

Taste of the Town

When we decided that we were going to be in Utah in July, one of the first questions that Brent asked was.... "Will we be there for Taste of the Town?!?!" We were able to attend last year and it was a blast!!! You buy tickets and get to taste food from TONS of vendors while you hang out in the park with a live band playing.
We went with Gma and Gpa Hunter.

Grandma loves her Makinsey Denise!

While we were there, Kinsey also turned 2 months! Look at how big and adorable she is!!! At her check up she weighed 10 lbs 9.5 oz (50th%) and 23 3/4 in long (95th %).
She is the most smiley baby I have ever seen! She sleeps 10 hours straight through the night. Rarely cries. Is holding her head up really well. Her big brother loves her to distraction. If she is awake, Keagan is sitting next to her, holding her hand and talking to her. She coos and talks all the time. She is just an angel!

LAGOON!

A visit to my parents house during the summer wouldn't be complete without a visit to Lagoon!! We had a great time!
We started out going to Lagoona beach and swimming. Keagan loved going down the slides!
Makinsey is so easy going! She had fun chilling with her aunts!

Dad and Travis and Grandma and Grandpa Hunter came and met us after work. Here is a pic of some of the gang!
Me and my bubbas! I can't believe how big he is getting! And how cute he is, even without a front tooth.
We were all SOOOO excited to see Keagan go on rides for the first time. He loved the horseys with Grandpa!
We discovered that if the ride had a steering wheel, then Keags was IN LOVE! He didn't want to get off the rides!
I wish that we had a picture of Travy's legs. They barely fit! Keagan had fun with his uncle!

Lagoon is always a blast! And I am proud to say that Keagan takes after his mother and LOVES amusement park rides!!!

Let the good times roll...

One of the reasons that we went to Utah, was to be there for my mom's surprise birthday party. It was a huge success and she was really surprised!!!
We also wanted to be there for my dad's birthday. For him we did a surprise outdoor movie theatre. For those of you that know my dad, you know that he LOVES movies! So we decided to set up a movie in our backyard with a projector and concessions. It was tons of fun!!
You can see the concession stand that Cassie made. It was a great night!
One of the fun things about Utah is that each city has their own weekend where they have a celebration during the summer. They have parades, carnivals, booths, concerts and fireworks. We had to go to the parade. Here are Brent and Keagan getting front row seats.
Brent throwing us the goods! In the background you can see Karlie getting candy with Keagan on her hip! Love it!
Waiting for more candy!
Hanging with Grandma and Grandpa
Even dad got into it! Lets just say that Dad and Karlie scored Keagan a TON of candy! This was also the moment that Keagan fell in love with horses. There were tons of horses in this parade and now Keagan wants to look at horses ALL THE TIME. He wakes up neighing and doesn't stop all day! This parade changed his life... :)!

the fourth!

For the 4th of July, we were at my parents house. We started off the day at a carnival that my mom helped put on. It was tons of fun, but sadly, I forgot to bring my camera! Here is Kinsey before we left...
After nap time, we went to Grandma Julee's for a backyard BBQ. It was lots of fun! Keagan loved playing in the grass...
...and Grams couldn't get enough of the little angel!
After the BBQ, we went to the park to watch some fireworks. They were Keagan's first fireworks. He started out watching them with Grandma and Grandpa....
... but that only lasted about 5 seconds and then he wanted mommy. He was ok as long as I covered his ears for the next 10 minutes....
... but by the end he LOVED them!!! He was giggling and laughing and was bummed when they ended!
Kinsey had fun hanging out with Daddy.
This is how Kinsey survived the fireworks. She was an angel.
Grandpa Steve came out for Kinsey's blessing and the weekend of the 4th. It was great seeing him.

We had a great 4th of July!!! We are so grateful to all of the military families and all they do for our country!
