Finally! We have a tooth!!!

On December 18th, Keagan cut his first tooth!!!! When he smiles really big you can see it, but I haven't been able to catch it on camera yet. So here is me exposing the little tooth!

Most children get their middle lower teeth first, but not Keagan! He has a snaggle tooth. For those of my family in the dental community, I believe that it is tooth G (in the #10 permanent spot). And tooth D is almost in also! He is going to have fangs! Love it!

In other exciting news, Keagan is now walking... a little bit. He will take 4-5 steps really well, but then he lunges for whatever he is heading towards. It is so fun watching him learn!!!
Hopefully I will have a video of it soon to share!!!

The Holidays

Here are some pictures through the holidays...
We were in Utah for Thanksgiving. Keagan had fun cooking with Aunt Cass and licking the spoon.

So yummy!

We went to a couple of Uncle Travis' basketball games! Go Travy!

This might be one of my favorite pictures! Love it!

On December 18th, Brent's Grandma Ellen married Bill. It was a great ceremony. Keagan was the ring bearer - assisted by Brent.
So handsome!!

I love this face! haha! Playing with the ring pillow!

With Grandma and Bill
Can't get enough of this kid!

Trying on a husker helmet... still a little big!

Christmas morning!!!
Grandma Ellen gave Keagan this fire truck! To say that he loves it is an understatement!
For Christmas Eve, Brent and Keagan went to Gretna to spend time with the Omaha clan. I, sadly, was sick in bed at home! Not the best Christmas Eve that I have ever had. We spent Christmas morning at our apartment with just us. This is the first time that Brent and I haven't traveled to be with family for Christmas. It was quiet, but nice. That afternoon we spent time with our friend's the Webers. We had a great time!

It took quite a few trys to get this photo!

Merry Christmas! We hope that everyone had a fabulous holiday!!!

Keagan is ONE!

I apologize for the delay in posting these birthday pictures!
Keagan had a great birthday. His birthday was near Thanksgiving and so we traveled to Utah to be with family for the holiday and Keagan's big day. Keagan LOVES LOVES LOVES balloons, so much to Molly, the dog's dismay, we had the house filled with balloons. Keagan was in heaven.

The beautiful cake that Aunt Karlie made!

Keagan had to have vinyl on the wall for him... that is allstar status!

Karlie with her yummy creations!

Grandpa Steve came out from California to be with Keagan. It was great seeing him!

His first taste....

YUMMY!!

He ate all of that! I had to take it away... he was not happy. He seriously ate for 30 minutes and hummed to himself the entire time. I have the cutest video of him eating it, but I can't get it uploaded... I will keep trying...

The theme of Keagan's presents was sports stuff.... non Nebraska sports stuff to be more specific! Keagan has lots of Husker stuff and my family felt that it was their duty to get Keagan a little more well rounded... he got 49er stuff!!... Jazz shirts.... BYU Jersey and a Kobe Bryant jersey!

He also got tons of books! As you can see he already loves to read.

Keagan with all of his presents. He got so much stuff that we had to take another suitcase home that weighed 45 lbs and was just his toys! Not spoiled at all?!?!?

It was a great day! I cannot believe that my baby is one! Here are some new things that he can do...
*He stands for extended periods of time by himself but refuses to walk by himself. (He totally could but is being stubborn...)
*Knows some sign language. He can sign "please", "thank you", "more" and "all done". "Please" is his favorite. He thinks that if he says please and smiles at you that he deserves whatever he wants. Now we are trying to teach him that some things are not for babies...
*Sleeps like an angel from 7:30 - 8:00 the next morning... love him!
*Can scream louder than any person I have ever heard. Brent and I are going to need hearing aids at a very young age.
*Still has no teeth. You can see them, but they haven't broken through the gums yet. He is almost completely weaned, so I am now ok with the teeth coming in!
*Is a complete ham! He will sit in the middle of a crowd and turn and wave and smile at each person. He will stare you down until you acknowledge how cute he is.
*At his 12 month check up he weighed 18 lbs 11 oz (5th %). Was 30 1/2 inches tall (75%). He eats TONS, but doesn't gain weight. In the future he will love this. As for now, I would like him to put on a little fat!
Keagan is so much fun to parent. He is such a great little guy!!
