Easter

For Easter we went to Gretna for dinner at Brent's aunt and uncle's house. We had a really great time! The weather was wonderful and we were able to walk to the park. Keagan went down his first slide with his dad. I am not sure if he loves it yet... but I am sure he will in the future!

The cute things he does....

We went to Keagan's 4 month check up yesterday and he is still a very healthy baby! He weighed 14 lbs 7 oz and was almost 26 inches long! He is going to be long and skinny like his parents!
Here are some new things about my precious baby...
1. His new goal in life is to fit his entire fist in his mouth. He spends many hours working on this new goal!
2. He now rolls over all the time. We still try to do "tummy time" but he is thrilled that he now can roll over to his back and thwart his parents wishes.
3. I have figured out what always makes Keagan laugh.... me panting! I am not sure how I figured this out, but he loves it. The other day Keagan and I were on skype with my mother and sister, Karlie, and I informed them about Keagan loving it when I pant. The next thing I know, both my mother and sister are up at the camera panting. Keagan just looked at them like they were crazy... which I think that they might be... haha.
He is still the cutest baby and the love of my life. (besides Brent, of course!)
Here are some more pics....

Rolling over... what a big boy!

Out for a walk!

Do you think his father has branded him as a Husker fan yet? It is amazing how many things of Keagan's have a red "N" on them. He is a husker fan through and through... as if he had a choice!

4 months old!

I cannot believe that my baby is already 4 months old. He is getting so big so fast!!! He rolled over from his back to his stomach and then back to his back yesterday for the first time! It was very exciting!!
He continues to be very healthy and go through a lot of diapers. Brent and I have been debating who has to change the most diapers and haven't been able to decipher it. So we are having a week long challenge and keeping track of how many diapers we each change with different point values depending on the nastiness of them. We will see who wins. Brent is much more willing to change them now... hmmm....

Look how big he is getting!!!

This is my favorite view in the morning!!
Coming Soon!! A documentary on the "Week in the Life of Brent's hair"
(Yes it looks like this naturally.)

Check out those lips!!

Family walk...

It was finally nice enough outside to take a walk. In the past we would put Keagan in his stroller and he didn't really enjoy it. So this time we tried the Baby Bjorn and he LOVED it. It was so nice to be outside and not freeze! Hopefully it will stay this way for awhile!!

FINALLY!

We finally got video of Keagan laughing! Brent had to hide the camera and make no sudden movements, but we outsmarted our 3 1/2 month old! Hence, the side view! Too bad it came at my expense, as I am just out of the shower with my hair in a towel! It was still a victory!!! Enjoy!

The Snow Has Finally Thawed...

We can finally see the grass out here in Nebraska. It has been below freezing since December and in the last week the temperature actually got in the 40's. It is a heat wave!

I am not very good about updating this blog, but here is an update of the past month in the Rogers' household...

1.) We have entered Brent's favorite part of the year... when I am older than him. I turned 27 this past week and Brent will be 26 until the end of April. This is the time that Brent loves to tell everyone that I am a "cradle robber" and a "cougar" and that he loves older women... I personally think that I don't qualify for any of those titles, but we agree to disagree on this one.

2.) Brent is now officially a Ph.D. candidate. That means that he passed all of his comprehensive exams and only has his dissertation left. We are so proud of him and all of the hard work that he does!!

3.) Keagan is now 3 1/2 months old and is the best baby! He is smiley all the time and has the cutest personality. He loves laughing at his mom. I will do anything to make him laugh and he has the cutest giggle. It melts my heart!!!
He sleeps 9 -10 hours at night and wakes up talking in the morning. He LOVES to hear his voice... he must have got that from his mother! Whenever Brent and I try to get any talking or laughing on film, he can sense the camera and stops and stares at the camera. We are thinking about hiding the camera and trying to outsmart him. Hopefully it will work...
He continues to be a joy and the biggest blessing in our lives!

Here are some pictures over the last month...
He loves playing on his playmat!

My parents gave us a camera for my birthday... Brent and I had fun messing around with it!

It took about 20 tries for us to get this picture. I was taking it and it took awhile!

Big belly! He has quite the milk gut!

So smiley!

Keagan and I are now back in Nebraska with Brent. We have mixed emotions about being back... happy to be with Brent, but sad that we aren't with our family in Utah. We had such a great time in Utah!! We came home to a new apartment and I am still trying to figure out where everything is.

Keagan had his two month check-up this past week. We weighs 11 lbs 13 oz, which is in the 50th percent, and is 24 in long, which is in the 80th percent. He is tall and skinny just like his dad!! He is still the happiest baby and is so much fun! We are loving every moment.

I went back to work last week. It is hard leaving Keagan, but it is nice leaving him with Brent. They are having some fun bonding time together! Luckily I only work 20 hours a week and can still spend alot of time at home!!
