Life is sometimes not fair...

About a month ago, Brent was sent to Scotland to do a presentation. Keagan and I were extremely jealous that we were not invited along! His presentation went great and he had a fabulous time. I think that he would say that the worst part was the flight back home in coach seating. The lucky guy got bumped up to first class for the flight over and thus knew how the better half lived!!! If we ever go over seas in the future I think that Brent will make us pay the big bucks for the good seating!

Brent brought Keagan home a couple of Scottish tams, which are the hats that the little kids wear. Of course we had to do a photo shoot of him wearing it! So cute!!!

Brent got me a beautiful scarf for this upcoming winter. I am excited to wear it this year... that is about the only plus side to the winter....

Grandma's boy!

My mom sent out this t-shirt for Keagan and we had to do a photoshoot with him in it! He is too adorable!!!

Better than Expected

This last weekend we traveled to Denver for a friend's wedding. Honestly, I was DREADING this weekend for multiple reasons, but it turned out to be much better than I thought that it would be. Karlie flew in to help watch Keagan and we had a GREAT time with her! She is the cutest aunt and Keagan just loves her.

Brent was asked to be the officiant for the wedding. They had taken care of the legal marriage beforehand, and so Brent was able to perform this ceremony. He did an excellent job!! He is so impressive!!

Happy family!

Congrats Bryan and Becca!

Random cuteness...

Here are some random pictures over the last few weeks....

Keagan thinks that his sippy cup is more of a chew toy than a cup.

This is how Keagan loves to play.... with me sprawled on the floor!

Such a cute daddy with a cute baby! Love!!

Best Part of Waking Up!

This is the sight that Brent and I wake up to EVERY morning! He starts out on the other side of his crib and his stuffed animals are lined up neatly. Every night he crawls to the other side of the crib and he falls asleep with his arms around his animals and wakes up and plays with them. I love it!

Solid foods

Keagan started solid foods this last week. We started with the rice cereal watered down with breast milk. He still isn't a huge fan, but every day it is getting better! This next weeks challenge is eating veggies! I am sure that he will love it!

So right after I stopped recording, he did the funniest shudder. It was like he was saying,"EWW. Don't you guys love me anymore!". I wish I would have caught it on film! It was great!!

6 months old

I can't believe that Keagan is 6 months old. He had his 6 month check up a couple of weeks ago, but I have been bad about posting about it. He weighed 16 lbs 1 oz (25th percentile) and was 27 1/2 inch long (75th-80th percentile). He is still tall and skinny!
He now:
sits up for long periods of time
has favorite toys that he loves to play with and screams when he drops them
still sleeps like an angel for 12 hours every night
continues to put EVERYTHING in his mouth
is a HUGE mamas boy
loves to giggle and hear himself talk
and is starting to crawl! Here is a video of him doing his "army crawl". He hasn't quite figured it out completely, but trust me, he can get from point A to point B quite fast!! I have a feeling that this is the beginning of the end and that I need to start baby proofing the house!
