Easter

We were able to have multiple easter egg hunts with the kids this year!  We did one in our backyard with Grammy and Grandpa!
We did one with the kids inside... Makinsey didn't really get it!
But Keagan loved his Easter basket!!!
Aunt Cassie and Uncle Mike came to visit and were able to help dye eggs!  So fun!
There was a big Easter egg hunt at the park by our house!  We love our neighborhood and all the fun things we get to do!!!

This is when Keagan discovered that there are candy inside and he went CRAZY!!!  Running everywhere to find more eggs!

catch up...

Well I think that it is safe to say that I am the WORST blogger.... ever! I think about updating the blog all the time, but I never get around to it. So here is a quick catch up on what is happening in the Rogers family... and then hopefully I will be better at keeping it updated. We can keep our fingers crossed!
We will start with Keagan!
He is now fully in the terrible twos! He is a smart little guy. He has recently discovered that he LOVES puzzles. He will sit and play with puzzles for hours. And he is amazingly really really good at them. We are giving him puzzles that are for older kids and within an hour, he has them memorized and can do them super fast. I love it! He is taking after his Aunt Cassidy, who is a puzzle master!!!
He is also OBSESSED with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I am not a big fan of having the tv on much. So whenever it is on, it is one of 3 things... Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Disney movies(my fav), or scripture movies(mostly on sundays). Brent and I find ourselves singing Mickey songs at odd times throughout the day... oh toodles!

If I get my camera out, he instantly wants to be in the picture!!! We love making silly faces!
Keagan's biggest accomplishment recently was being potty trained!!!!! He loves his Mickey Mouse and Thomas the Train undies! In fact, the biggest problem that we have is that he loves his underwear so much that he wants to change back and forth between them all day. And he discovered that the fastest way to get your underwear changed is to pee your pants.... so now he will pick out the new underwear he wants to wear... pee his pants and then come to me and say, "pee pee in my pants... need new mickey undies". Told you... too smart!
The other day I came down stairs and he was "hiding" in the cupboard! I have no idea how he even fit in there... so funny!
Keagan is still the cutest, best boy around... even when he is throwing a tantrum!!!

Makinsey is now 10 months old! I can not believe that she is getting so big!!! At her 9 month check up she weighed 15 1/2 lbs (3%) and was 27 1/2 in long (47%). She is so petite and adorable. She is still the smiliest and most easy going baby I have ever seen.
She is now crawling... and creating messes everywhere!
Tell me that cheesy smile doesn't melt your heart!
She is a great eater! She will eat whatever you give her and hums the whole time. She must take after her mother's love of food....
She is now pulling herself up to standing on EVERYTHING. She is also starting to test out her balance and will let go for a few seconds. She is doing really good. I have a feeling she will be chasing her brother around before long!

She continues to be my little blessing and is an angel! She is a true daddy's girl. If Brent is in the room, no one else matters! She says DADA and MAMA (but she says dada ALOT more!) She is starting to wave to everyone and claps all the time. If she hears anyone cheering, she starts clapping... probably learned that from all of Uncle Trav's basketball games!!!

So recently my life has been spent helping with weddings!! Both my sister and Brent's sister are getting married... Karlie in April and Brandice in June. This is how my mom and I have fun passing the time....
For Valentine's Day, Brent took me to the Lady Antebellum concert. It was awesome!!!! Here is us in the audience!
Love these two monkeys sooooo much!

Keagan "planking" over Makinsey.... too funny!
So now I am going to brag a little bit about my other "baby"... my little brother, Travis. He was recently honored by being on the All State All Academic team for basketball. They only picked 10 boys in the entire state. You had to have atleast a 3.99 GPA and rockin ACT scores.... which Travis got a 35... only one point away from perfection! Such a smart, good young man! He played an awesome senior year of basketball and now we are trying to find something to do on Tuesdays and Fridays! My kids LOVED going to his games and cheering on "TRRRRR Ball ball" (thats how Keagan would cheer). Good job Bubbas! We love you tons and couldn't be prouder!
Here is a picture of him being honored at halftime of the State Championship game. And yes... he is the cute one with the long flowing mane of hair!!
Well here is to me being better at blogging.... I promise I will try.....

Oh, how time flies...

I can't believe that Keagan is 2 years old and Makinsey is 6 months old! A couple of weeks ago, Karlie took Keagan's 2 year old , and Makinsey's 6 month pictures. Karlie did an amazing job! She is SO talented!!!
Here are some of Makinsey's photo shoot...

Keagan was much harder to get a good picture! He has entered the stage where he will not smile on command and is quite stubborn!! But Karlie was still able to get some good ones! I love that you can see his personality in these!

Thanks Karlie for taking these pictures!!
Coming soon... Keagan's birthday photos... I just need to get them off of my mom's camera first!

slacker...

Well, alot has happened since my last post! We moved into our new house mid October. We LOVE it!!! Going from an apartment to this has been HEAVEN. Thanks to my mom, we had the house unpacked, put away and organized within 2 days of moving in. I think we know where I get my OCD from.... thanks mom for the help!!!
We just finished getting all of our new furniture and painting the main living areas. Once I get my frames and decorations up, I will take some pictures to share with everyone.

Shortly after moving in, we celebrated Halloween. I have never loved this holiday, but I will say that I enjoy it ALOT more with children. Keagan has a recent obsession with Mickey Mouse. So of course Kinsey had to be Minnie. I am proud to say that I actually made ALL of their costumes. Not too bad for my first attempt at craftiness....
Cutest Mickey and Minnie I have ever seen!
We had our first snow. It was my favorite kind of snow. It melted in less than 24 hours. This was the first time that Keagan actually played in the snow and he LOVED it. Brent and I had a snowball fight with him and he was laughing so hard that he was falling over. Kids make everything so much more fun.

Our little angel girl turned 6 months recently!!! She weighed 14 lbs (11%) and was 26.25 in long (64%). She is so little and petite. She continues to be the sweetest baby.
Some things that she is doing now are:
sitting up for short periods of time
acting like she is about to crawl... can get up on all fours.
blows spit bubbles ALL DAY LONG! it is her favorite thing to do
eats rice cereal and oatmeal. She will be trying veggies soon!
LOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEESSSSS her brother more than anything!
Is a daddy's girl. If Brent is in the room, she wants to be in his arms.
Laughs and giggles all the time. The best sound in the world.
Sleeps pretty good through the night. She likes to wake up and talk in the middle of the night and it drives her dad CRAZY! (I sleep through it!)

She is the best 6 month old around!

So there is a little recap... once I upload the pictures I will post about Keagan's 2nd birthday/Thanksgiving.... I am working on it!

4 months

Makinsey turned 4 months old last month. We have been in the process of moving, so I have been a little behind with posting! We were able to find a new Dr. to go to and Makinsey looked perfect at her 4 month check up. She weighed 12 lbs 9 oz (22%) and was 25 inches long (77%). She is the sweetest baby ever! Here are some things that she is doing....
She sleeps through the night for TWELVE hours and has been doing it since about 11 weeks old!
She can roll from her stomach to back very easily and has rolled from her back to stomach a few times.
She LOVES to talk and laugh. She always has a story to tell us. And her giggle is the CUTEST sound. I love it!
She loves her big brother. If he is anywhere near her, her eyes are following him and she is smiling and giggling at him. Keagan is obsessed with her and they have a great time playing together.
She has the calmest temperament I have ever seen in a baby. Everybody that meets her comments on how "chill" she is. A huge blessing!!!
We absolutely love this little angel and can't imagine our family without her!!!

Here is a great picture of my two little angels!!!!

Farewell Nebraska! Hello Utah!

WE'RE MOVING!
Brent recently got a job in Utah. We are so proud of him and all of his hard work! One of the ways that made us realize that we have made it to the big leagues is that they moved us! I don't mean they loaded us into a truck. I mean they packed EVERYTHING in our house and then loaded it into a truck! I sat on the couch and painted my nails. Can I just say, BEST MOVE EVER!?!?!
We were sad to say goodbye to Lincoln, Nebraska. The last four years have been great. Brent and I have grown together, our family has grown and we have realized that we can survive freezing temperatures (that part I will not miss!).
For the past 4 years, everytime that Brent and I have done a road trip out west, my father-in-law has wanted us to stop and eat at Ole's. He loves this place! If any of you know me, I don't stop on a road trip unless it is to get gas, get fast food or use the bathroom and it better be quick! So I promised that I would stop there when I moved out of the state! And I am always good for my word!
Here are some pictures to document that I went to Ole's!!

If you can't tell, Ole's likes to stuff dead animals. I will admit that I teared up a little when I saw some of the animals that were on the wall. They actually had a giraffe. Brent assured me that these animals were killed many many years ago and therefore not illegal, but I'm not sure that I feel better.... I will say that the people there were SOOOO nice. And the food was really good. Now I can check Ole's off of my bucket list.

It is now the best time of year... and that means it is football season!!! Here are two of the cutest Husker fans I have ever seen!!!

We are currently staying with my parents while the house we are buying closes.... so hopefully soon I will have pictures of our very own house!!!!
