Happy Halloween!!

For all of you that don't know me, I have always despised Halloween. As a child, I never understood dressing up to get candy, especially because I don't really like candy. But I have promised EVERYONE in my family that I will step up to the plate as a mother. I did find that Halloween is much more fun as a parent. How can it not be when you get to dress up something this cute???

So, our family is obsessed with football, me included. Today, my favorite team, the 49ers, played Brent's favorite team, the Broncos. Originally, Brent was going to dress in Broncos gear, I was going to dress in 49ers gear and Keagan was going to be our football. Due to the fact that both teams are HORRIBLE this year, only Keagan dressed up. But he is the cutest football I have ever seen! I knew I loved this sport!!!

We went to a carnival at the church and had a fun time. Keagan doesn't really get what is going on, but he was a great sport! Brent would throw him around like a football and then rush towards the end zone and Keagan would giggle the whole way! It was too precious!

And just to make Halloween even better this year... The 49ers BEAT the Broncos in what we called "The Toilet Bowl"! WAHOO!!! Go 49ers!!! This was like the super bowl in importance in our house! Now Keagan and I have the bragging rights til they play again!

It's never too early...

It is never too early to learn good oral hygiene! Keagan currently has zero teeth. But I bought him a baby toothbrush so he would get used to it. Every morning while I am brushing my teeth he sits in the bathroom and practices brushing his teeth too! It is the cutest thing because he actually tries to mimic me and moves his toothbrush appropriately. Practice makes perfect! When he finally gets some teeth, they are going to be SOOOO clean because he already has the brushing thing down!!

Here is a video of Keagan's newest talent! It is very cute, except for when you are feeding him!

10 months old!

I cannot believe how big my baby is!! I have been bad at doing monthly updates recently... at his 9 month check up he ...
weighed 17 lbs 7.5 oz (10%),
length 28 3/4 in (75%)
head 18 in (70%)
So basically he is still tall and skinny! Brent and I just measured him the other day and he is now 30 in long...SO BIG!
Here are some of the things that he does now...
1.Waves at EVERYBODY! His wave is the greatest. It is like the Hitler salute, mixed with a little pageant wave... elbow, elbow, wrist, wrist. It is so cute!
2. Crawls everywhere! He is fast too. He has been army crawling since 7 months... but now he has perfected the crawling technique and goes everywhere!
3. Pulls himself up to everything and walks along the edge. He can even do this to the wall when there is really nothing for him to grab onto.
4. Can stand for a little bit on his own. No steps yet... I think that it won't be long though.
5. Says, "Mama", "Dada", and "Ba" (ball). He will yell "BA BA" when he sees any of his basketballs or footballs!
6. Loves bath time still! His favorite place to escape to is the bathroom cause he wants to get in the tub again! The bathroom door has to remain closed at all times because of this!
7. Still has the most impressive set of lungs that I have ever heard. He screeches all the time, usually followed by a proud smile. I think that he is impressed that he can be so loud!
8. Still has no teeth!
9. Still sleeps like an allstar!

This is his favorite past time... throwing all of the DVD's on the ground! I do not love it so much! You can see he is waving at me while doing it!

We bought him a new big boy carseat. When we were moving it to the car, Keagan wanted in the box. We carried that box to the car with him in it and he laughed the entire way. He is so much fun!

Every morning he insists on getting 2 toys from his crib to take with him. He always has to have a toy in each hand. It sometimes makes crawling a little difficult. He was trying to crawl with Gorilla ... too funny!

This was the first day we got this toy for him. I was worried that he would fall... but he didn't. He walks around like it is no big deal. I had to skype with my parents to show them and he walked in front of the camera, stopped, waved to Grandma and Grandpa, and then kept walking... he knows how to work an audience!

Bath time = Happy time!

Keagan is still the happiest, best baby ever!

You know what fall means...

Fall is my FAVORITE time of year for 3 reasons...
1. Olive Garden's Never Ending Pasta bowl
2. Red Lobster's All-You-Can-Eat-Shrimp
and....
3. FOOTBALL!!!! I was raised an avid football fan! College, Pros, highschool.... I don't care which kind. I love it ALL!!
Obviously, in this household we are HUGE Huskers fans!! I think that Keagan has a Husker outfit for EVERY day of the week. He does look pretty cute in them! Now he just needs some sweet 49er gear and he will be set!

This is the Husker helmet that I made for him... now I just need to finish the adult one for his dad and they can be twins!

Here are some pics from Gram Pam's visit that I forgot to post, but that I LOVE!!!
4 generations... pretty cool!

The park

One of Keagan's favorite places to go is the park!! He loves to swing!

We went down the slide together. We both had so much static electricity that when Brent touched us, he got a big time shock. We thought it was so funny we had to go down more than once!!

Keagan loves to hang on the rim already... hopefully a sign that he is going to dunk on people all day long when he is older!! He LOVES anything to do with basketball. At the gym daycare, he chases around the older kids with the basketballs cause he thinks that he deserves to play with them. He is going to be a baller... if there was any choice!

Gram Pam!!

In August, Brent's mom, who is known as Gram Pam, came to visit! It was SOOO fun seeing her. Keagan loved his Gram Pam right from the start.

This is at the airport when we picked Gram Pam up.

I have been wanting to go to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo since we moved here 3 years ago. We figured that it would be the perfect time to go with Gram Pam!

I love this picture! Waiting in line at the zoo!

Cutest lion that I have ever seen!!

This one is pretty cute too!

There was the cutest baby tiger! I only took about 200 pictures of him, but I didn't want to bore everyone, so here is one of them!

Some cool Sun Bears hanging out!

4 generations + a couple of bears in the background = great photo!

If anybody is ever at the Henry Doorly Zoo, do not buy the snowcone! It is prepackaged and never thaws. Here is Keagan and I trying to get some!

The Gorilla family!

We went to lunch on the last day Gram Pam was here! Keagan LOVES straws. He looks like a little birdie! I love it!

Thanks for coming out to visit Gram Pam!!!! It was so fun!

Erie

While Brent went to the University of Michigan to research, Keagan and I went to visit my sister, Cassidy and her husband, Mike in Erie, PA. It was alot of fun. We went to Lake Erie and it was great!!! It was a windy day and so it looked like the ocean waves. Keagan rarely falls asleep while being held, but the waves lulled him to sleep. It was fun snuggling my baby!!

I love this face! This is his screeching face!! Oh the noises that he makes!

Another screeching face! He does this when he is happy, when he is sad! He loves his voice!

We were lucky enough to be there for Cassidy's birthday! We went to Applebees for her birthday dinner. Keagan loves his Aunt Cass and Uncle Mike!

Cassidy would balance the spoon on his nose and he would lick it! It was hilarious!

We were able to visit Kirtland, OH. It was so great getting to see some of the church history sites. They have kept everything very authentic. The door was the original. Its cool to think that we walked through the same door and touched the same things that the founders of our church and some of my ancestors did. Pretty sweet!

I can't get enough of his handsome face!!!

It was gorgeous country!

A little story time break!

The Kirtland Temple! I have read so many books set during the building of this building! It was so amazing to be in it!! They didn't allow pictures to be taken in the temple, but it was awesome!

Brent got done researching earlier than expected, so he came to Erie. Of course we had to go to the lake! Keagan LOVES splashing in the water!

It was such a fun visit! Hopefully we will be able to go visit again before Cassidy and Mike move onto their next adventure.
